Residency Advisor

The Family Medicine Residency Program at Jefferson Health in the Northeast is a distinguished three-year community-based residency program accredited by the ACGME. Curriculum Overview

Residents experience a solid foundation in medical principles during their first year, with a focus on inpatient care. The Family Medicine Practice (FMP) hours begin at one half-day per week, expanding to at least three half-day clinic sessions weekly in the subsequent years. PGY-1 Rotations

The first year includes a range of rotations: three months of inpatient medicine, along with Emergency Medicine, ICU, Obstetrics, and numerous outpatient specialties such as Dermatology, Gynecology, and Pediatrics.

During the second year, the focus shifts to outpatient practices with increased responsibilities, including three half-days in FMP, while inpatient rotations continue.
