Continuity Clinics
Continuity of care is emphasized from the first year of training. Residents participate in a continuity clinic, dedicating one full day per week in the first year, increasing to two full days in the third year. The facility provides comprehensive services including on-site x-ray, laboratory services, and more. Additionally, there's a Medical Outreach Clinic that offers healthcare services to uninsured patients through a mobile unit.
Research and Scholarly Activities
Residents are encouraged to engage in scholarly activities, quality improvement projects, and conference presentations. Training regarding research protocols and submissions is included, along with opportunities to publish findings in reputable forums.
Application Process
The program accepts applications via the ERAS platform. Key eligibility requirements include:
- Graduation from an LCME or AOA-accredited medical school.
- US citizenship or legal residency status allowing work in the US.
