The West Virginia University Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program offers a comprehensive training experience with a rich academic environment. Their program was permanently granted an increased resident complement from 16 to 24 residents in 2017. Program Highlights: - Program Size: 28 residents in total, with only advanced track positions offered during the fall recruiting season. - Start Date: Training commences on July 1, 2025. - Application Requirements: Graduation from an accredited American Allopathic or Osteopathic Medical school, ECFMG certificate for international graduates, personal statement, letters of recommendation, USMLE or COMLEX scores, and completion of an ACGME-approved clinical year. - Application Deadline: November 15, 2023

Curriculum Structure: - 1st Year: Residents engage in a highly structured first year to prepare for a shift to indirectly supervised overnight call duty in the second year. - 2nd Year: 13 four-week rotations per year with progressive academic progress and hands-on procedural experience. - 3rd Year: Specialty expertise development, fellowship exploration, and continued academic growth. - 4th Year: Flexibility for residents to pursue individual career paths, research, and electives. - ESIR: Designed for intensive rotations and clinical experience, including ICU rotation and total of 9 rotations during the year.
