Application Process

Required materials include a CV, Dean's letter, ECFMG certificate (if applicable), three current letters of recommendation, medical school transcript, diploma/certificate, personal statement, photograph (preferred), and scores from USMLE or COMLEX Steps I and II. Notably, the program sponsors J-1 visas only and does not support H-1B visa applications.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible candidates include graduates of accredited medical schools in the U.S. and Canada, graduates of colleges of osteopathic medicine accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), and graduates of international medical schools with specific qualifications. For international medical graduates (IMGs), a currently valid ECFMG certificate is required along with the fulfillment of other criteria established by the New York State Department of Education. Furthermore, graduates from foreign medical schools are ineligible if more than 12 weeks of clerkship training occurred outside the country of the medical school unless pre-approved by the state.
