Curriculum Overview

The curriculum consists of structured clinical rotations across multiple disciplines within Obstetrics and Gynecology. Residents engage in hands-on training through core rotations, including obstetric services and operative gynecology. The residency provides exposure to high-risk obstetrics, maternal-fetal medicine, gynecologic oncology, urogynecology, and reproductive endocrinology.

Rotations

Core rotations include:

  • Obstetrics: Residents rotate for three months each in PGY 1, 2, and 4, with additional exposure through night float rotations. Around 2,200-2,500 deliveries take place annually, providing significant practical experience.
  • Gynecology: Residents gain extensive operative experience, performing approximately 1,875 surgical procedures across their training. PGY 1's additionally spend a month on minor gynecologic procedures.
  • Maternal-Fetal Medicine: High-risk obstetrics skills are developed during rotations focusing on complex and critical care scenarios.
  • Gynecologic Oncology: The program offers a robust gynecologic oncology service, with exposure to various malignancies.
  • Urogynecology: Residents learn to manage pelvic floor disorders through comprehensive training in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
