Stony Brook Medicine/Southampton Hospital Program

The Stony Brook Southampton Family Medicine Residency Program emphasizes a unique training approach with a focus on Social Medicine, Integrative Medicine, Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine, and Palliative Medicine education. This program offers diverse outpatient experience across two distinct continuity clinic sites catering to underserved communities.

Applicants to the program must apply through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) and meet specific application criteria, including submitting three letters of recommendation, a Dean's letter, medical school transcript, personal statement, and USMLE or COMLEX transcripts with passing scores.

The selection committee at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital Family Medicine program assesses applicants based on residency program-related criteria such as preparedness, academic credentials, communication skills, and personal qualities.
