The Emergency Medicine Residency Program at Corewell Health Trenton and Dearborn is a comprehensive three-year program dedicated to preparing emergency medicine physicians to meet the needs of diverse communities. Program Structure

Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital includes an 89-bed high acuity emergency department, which accommodates around 92,500 ED visits each year. The department features advanced resources such as three trauma bays, two resuscitation bays, and specialized facilities for negative pressure resuscitation. Corewell Health Trenton Hospital's emergency department is equipped with 28 beds and manages approximately 38,000 annual ED visits, ensuring residents encounter a diverse array of emergency situations.

Application Requirements

Applicants must meet specific criteria to be considered for interviews. Eligible candidates must graduate from an accredited medical school, demonstrate successful completion of all pre-clinical courses, and pass COMLEX Levels 1 and 2 on the first attempt. The application includes submission of an official transcript, curriculum vitae, a personal statement, and three letters of recommendation, including a letter from the medical school dean.
