The NCH Healthcare System Internal Medicine Residency program at Naples, FL, is dedicated to recruiting, training, and retaining excellent internal medicine physicians. The program focuses on academic educational approaches to all aspects of clinical medicine, shared decision-making, and team-based practice. The aim is to produce physician leaders and educators with the knowledge and expertise to succeed in various aspects of internal medicine. The program offers a 3+1 schedule which allows for three weeks of uninterrupted inpatient, subspecialty, or elective experiences followed by one week of ambulatory clinic block. Residents have a diverse patient population, seeing a wide range of pathology, including rare and complex diagnoses. The curriculum covers all major subspecialties of internal medicine and offers various clinical and hospital-based experiences.

Residents receive a competitive salary and benefits package, which includes free garage parking, medical and dental insurance, life and accident insurance, short and long-term disability, vacation time, ACLS/BLS certification, housing stipend, white coats, question banks, and more. Salaries and benefits are reviewed and updated annually.

The program also supports resident wellness and offers resources to prevent burnout, identify and treat burnout, as well as provide self-care, peer socialization, and mentorship opportunities. Residents have access to fitness classes at the NCH Briggs Wellness Center and participate in events to decrease burnout.
